SolidWorks Electrical
Design and development of the electrical distribution system, wire harnesses and required components for diesel, hybrid and electric buses.
Create new product designs that exceed customer expectations.
Maintains current designs and seeks out opportunities to continuously improve current product.
Documents new designs and design modifications with appropriate drawings, BOM requests, project release paperwork, etc.
We will work closely with production control to coordinate controlled implementation of major projects into the manufacturing process.
AG6 has the ability to perform complex troubleshooting. This may be hands-on in production or remotely troubleshooting vehicles in service.
Ag6 can perform a wide variety of calculations and software aided analysis related to harness design, sizing of cables and fuses, selection of connectors, pins and interconnects and other components related to the electrical distribution system.
Optimize vehicle wire harnesses and power distribution systems across fleets.
Troubleshooting, electrical test equipment/tools, automotive industry codes/standards such as SAE, NEC, NFPA, FMVSS, DOT, NHTSA.
Maintains current knowledge of system offerings and emerging design technologies in the Transit and Heavy Duty Vehicle industry.
FMEAs to identify and prevent potential failure modes in designs
Experience with problem resolution processes such 8D, 5P etc…
Execute Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly activities. Electrical, load analysis, power distribution and circuit protection, charging systems, battery technology, hybrid and battery electric vehicle technology, motor controls, J1939 standards and CAN tools, vehicle electrical system
ON-SITE
¨ Manage 3D routing and CAD package layout
¨ Manage logical and physical schematic development and sign-off physical schematics
¨ Create and maintain program specific engineering foundation documents
¨ Support electrical / electronic circuit CAE analysis
¨ Utilize best design for manufacturing, assembly, and failure mode avoidance practices
¨ Create and maintain harness family complexity and keep commonality of designs across multiple programs and platforms
¨ Manage component and harness part delivery
¨ Review pre-production vehicles for potential campaign items and assess warranty impact
